Sarah COle: Violin
Sarah Cole holds Masters Degrees in both violin performance and string pedagogy. She has studied at the University of Louisville, the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Wales, and at Baldwin Wallace Conservatory in Ohio. She currently plays with Orchestra Kentucky and Paducah Symphony, as well as freelancing in the Louisville area. While at U of L, she served as Concertmaster in the university’s orchestra. She also performed in the university’s Graduate String Quartet and worked as a Teaching Assistant there. In London, Sarah’s chamber ensemble was a finalist for the Cavatina Chamber Music Competition at the Royal Academy of Music. Also in Britain, while as a member of the Royal Welsh String Soloists Ensemble, she was invited to Buckingham Palace to perform at a gala for Prince Charles.
In Louisville, Sarah gives recitals and regularly performs with other local musicians. Sarah has performed in master classes for notable musicians such as Simon Fisher, Itzhak
Rashkovsky, and Daniel Phillips, and recently studied with David Updegraff, Patrick Rafferty, and Rachel Podger. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys hiking, traveling, and drinking coffee.
