Cristina Bedoya (she/her)

Cristina Bedoya is a dedicated pedagogue and versatile performing artist, currently serving as a collaborative pianist at the University of Louisville and as a ballet pianist with both the Louisville Ballet and the Chautauqua Institution (NY). Cristina brings a dynamic presence to the stage, studio and classroom engaging equally as a performer, educator, and collaborator.

She is a laureate of multiple international competitions across Europe, Asia, and the United States. She has appeared as a soloist with the Moldova Philharmonic Orchestra and the National Symphony Orchestra of Teleradio-Moldova. In 2018, Cristina received the Jacobs Music Company Steinway Award and the W. Clarke Pfleeger Award for Outstanding Pianistic Ability and Musicianship.

Cristina began her musical training at the Republican Lyceum of Music Ciprian Porumbescu under the guidance of Professor Larisa Jar. She later completed her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance at Rowan University (NJ) and her Master of Music in Piano Performance at the Schwob School of Music at Columbus State University (GA).

With more than a decade of teaching experience, Cristina is dedicated to cultivating musical curiosity and confidence in her students. She actively seeks festival and performance opportunities for them throughout the United States and Europe, and her teaching is guided by a deep commitment to inspiring a lasting love of music and supporting each student’s artistic growth.

Cristina is fluent in Romanian, Russian, and English, and is happy to teach in any of these languages.
