Small Ensembles
All ages, instruments (including voice!), and levels welcome (adults included)!
*Ensembles start mid-September with intermediate/advanced small group applications due August 24!*
LAM’s small ensembles give musicians of all ages and abilities the opportunity to make music in small groups. Participants will receive coachings with LAM faculty throughout the fall/spring semester and the program will culminate with a Musical Showcase. Special Arrangements for Adult Groups, Pre-formed groups, and advanced groups are available upon request.

Ensembles for Ages 5-12
Ensembles for Ages 11+ (adults welcome!)
Chamber Music offers musicians of all ages and abilities the opportunity to make music in small groups. Participants will receive 8 coachings with LAM faculty and the program will culminate with a public performance. Special Arrangements for Adult/Advanced groups are available upon request.
Submit your application by August 24th for consideration.
magnolia scholars
Advanced players seeking a more comprehensive program including career readiness and service may choose to be considered for the Magnolia Scholars. These select high school students will receive free tuition to participate in the program for the 2026-27 year, work together in small groups, and will have unique performance opportunities outside the scheduled chamber showcase.
Apply through the regular Chamber Music or Composer Application and select the option to be considered for Magnolia Scholars. Submit your application by August 24th; Interviews will be held August 28/29th.
Similar to chamber music, these small ensembles offer musicians of all ages and abilities the opportunity to make music in small groups, here with a focus on jazz performance and improvisation. Participants will receive 8 coachings with LAM faculty and the program will culminate with a public performance.
Special Arrangements for Adult/Advanced groups are available upon request.

Similar to chamber music, these small ensembles offer musicians of all ages and abilities the opportunity to make music in small groups, here with a focus on vocal performance and technique. Participants will receive 8 coachings with LAM faculty and the program will culminate with a public performance.
Special Arrangements for Adult/Advanced groups are available upon request.
