Small Ensembles

All ages, instruments (including voice!), and levels welcome (adults included)!

Small Ensembles offer musicians of all ages and abilities the opportunity to make music in small groups. Participants will receive coachings with LAM faculty throughout the fall/spring semester and the program will culminate with a Musical Showcase. Special Arrangements for Adult Groups, Pre-formed groups, and advanced groups are available upon request.


chamber music applications open august 1st and are due august 24th.

Ages 5-12


Ages 11+

chamber music program

Chamber Music offers musicians of all ages and abilities the opportunity to make music in small groups. Participants will receive 8 coachings with LAM faculty and the program will culminate with a public performance. Special Arrangements for Adult/Advanced groups are available upon request.

 

magnolia scholars

Advanced players seeking a more comprehensive program including career readiness and service may choose to be considered for the Magnolia Scholars. These select students will receive free tuition to participate in the program for the 2026-27 year, work together in small groups, and will have unique performance opportunities outside the scheduled chamber showcase.

 

Jazz combos

Similar to chamber music, these small ensembles offer musicians of all ages and abilities the opportunity to make music in small groups, here with a focus on jazz performance and improvisation. Participants will receive 8 coachings with LAM faculty and the program will culminate with a public performance. Special Arrangements for Adult/Advanced groups are available upon request.

 

madrigals (Vocal Ensembles)

Similar to chamber music, these small ensembles offer musicians of all ages and abilities the opportunity to make music in small groups, here with a focus on vocal performance and technique. Participants will receive 8 coachings with LAM faculty and the program will culminate with a public performance. Special Arrangements for Adult/Advanced groups are available upon request.
