Robin Chappars: Cello

Roberta (Robin) Chappars has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Rochester. She studied at the Eastman School of Music with Harold Meyer, Ronald Leonard and Polly Hunsberger.

In Lake Placid, New York, she studied with Ardith Alton of the Manhattan School of Music. As a professional she has played with the Delaware, Lancaster (PA), Owensboro and Bowling Green Symphonies.

She has also played with the Newark, (DE) Chamber Players, Music Theater Louisville, Derby Dinner Playhouse and the Louisville Orchestra. Currently she is principal cellist with the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary Orchestra. She has taught at the Louisville Academy of Music for 22 years and is a founding member and business manager of Quartet Louisville.
